At the young age of 7, I knew that my calling was in accounting. Fueling my entrepreneurial spirit, I set up impromptu stores at home, even selling my Easter candy back to my family for spending money. This ignited a fascination with business and money that stayed with me.
Yet, beyond the allure of profits, my heart found purpose in service. At 15, a life-changing trip to a Nicaraguan orphanage introduced me to individuals whose wealth transcended monetary values. Their contentment with simple joys sparked a desire within me for a different kind of wealth – one defined by time freedom, meaningful connections, and the liberty to truly live.
My summers in Nicaragua led me to pursue a new passion – the Spanish language. Since then, I have culminated dual degrees in Accounting and Spanish, all while fostering a deep appreciation for new cultures, travel, and community.
Years of professional experiences in both the public and private accounting industries molded my expertise, yet I found myself yearning for something more than conventional success. I was not willing to accept that the rest of my life would consist of 60+ hour work weeks for the next 47 years. For me, it was this journey that led me to a realization – true wealth isn’t merely a number in a bank account; it’s the freedom to live life on your terms.
